Purpose:
I.
The purpose of this organization is to increase business with
members through “Close Contact” networking on a weekly basis.
This will be achieved by the passing of business leads and utilizing
the services of members of the group. Meetings shall be held every
Wednesday. The meeting shall begin promptly at 12:00 noon and
end by 1:00 p.m. Members are expected to be on time and stay for
the length of the meeting. If a member leaves before the “Passing
of the Leads”, they will be considered absent.
II.
Members agree to conduct business in a professional manner, to
treat other members and their customers with respect and courtesy,
and furnish their services at the price and terms agreed to. Members
must also be in good standing with the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce.
III.
One Individual per business (for-profit) classification shall
be allowed to become a member and said classification must be
their primary occupation. A business (for-profit) that is a member
of the Chamber may elect to send a person from their organization
to represent them to the Leads Group. If the representative were
to leave the company, the company has three consecutive meetings
to fill their place, this applies to both profit and non-profit
businesses. Otherwise, that company’s classification can be replaced
by another business. If an individual wishes to change their classification,
they must get approval from the membership committee. The Vice-President
will serve as Chairman of the Membership Committee and will call
meetings as deemed necessary.
IV.
An individual must visit a meeting two times before submitting
an application to the Vice-President. If a member has a possible
conflict with a prospective member, they are to notify the membership
committee prior to approval. The membership application will be
reviewed by the membership committee to determine if there is
any conflict with current members. Upon approval, new members
will be notified before the next leads group meeting.
V.
The annual dues shall be $35.00 from August 1 through July 31
and will not be prorated. Membership fees shall be due during
the month of August and if not paid by September 1, their membership
will be terminated, at the discretion of the membership committee.
VI.
Any members having three consecutive absences or six absences
within a six-month period will have their membership revoked,
pending review by the membership committee. The member will be
notified in writing. The member will then have to reapply and
pay the $30 membership fee.
VII.
Should a member be absent, he or she should be represented by
a substitute (from their own company), in which the substitute
is required to pass your lead on in your absence.
